I am now much more familiar with shaders, a lot of which is just trial and error. The Warp Derby team helped me out when I got stuck, having made a few of their own. After going through a few iterations of this tesla shader (sort of an electricity/energy look) the artists and producers were happy with it. Some good that came out of this was being able to explore SSS. I'm pretty excited to keep working with shaders, they are powerful stuff.
